Yesterday I had a photoshoot at a real cool location! I think it was one of the coolest locations where I’ve been so far for a photoshoot. The photoshoot took place at an art sculpture in the Maasvlakte. The Maaslvakte is part of the harbor of Rotterdam and the municipality of Rotterdam. In this blog I don’t only share backstage photos, but also photos from the beautiful nature in this area because it really impressed me. I discovered this location on Instagram a while ago and since that moment I wanted to do a photoshoot there. I had never been there before, so when we arrived at the location we were really surprised of the beautiful surroundings. There was no one else, so it was really quiet on a peaceful way. Imagine white sand dunes, which look from certain views like a desert (especially when no one is around), a blue sea (I never saw such a blue sea in the Netherlands) and in the middle of all this a huge art sculpture. Woah! So when the makeup artist did the makeup, I was wandering around to enjoy this beautiful area. Wandering around in the nature/beautiful places really makes me peaceful and happy.
You can’t get there with public transport, you’ll need a car to get there. It was quit an adventure to get there. The TomTom said we had to go on a ferry. Well, I had never been at a ferry with my car when I was driving. You can also get there without a ferry, but my TomTom thought this was the fastest way (it wasn’t after all).
The make-up & hair was done by Salma, the styling was done by Lisanne Porteners and the model was Nouha from Max Models.
