A week ago I visited Venice with my sister. It was our first time in Italy. Venice was really high on my bucketlist. Wow, it’s such a beautiful city and I loved every street of it. Every street was different. It was a real photogenic city. The photodiary will be in two parts, because I made so much photos. It’s a city where you wander around and it doesn’t matter where you go, it looks beautiful and romantic. I recommend you to before or after the high season. The weather is nice and even in June it’s already busy, especially at the big sight seeings. Imagine how it is in the high season.
Our boat where we traveled from the airport to the city.
Scuola Grande di San Marco.
Of course we also have been in a gondola!
We visited a lot of these kind of streets, it’s beautiful to see.
Me as a gondolier.
We ate at Trattoria Alla Palazzina, where they had a kind of pasta’s and a beautiful garden to sit.
This was near the well known Rialto bridge. Unfortunately there were renovating the bridge, so you couldn’t see much of the bridge from the distance. When you walked over the bridge, I wanted to get away as fast as I could, because it was so busy. We decided to explore the area. This was also the only time when it was raining. Later that day we had nice and sunny weather.
Cat d’ Oro
In the distance you see the Campanile of Venice.
The Doge’s Palace.
The Bridge of Sighs.
Our view from the Vaporetto (the water bus). It’s the public transport of Venice, because you can’t drive with a car there.
Wandering around in the peaceful district Cannaregio.
Ponte Chiodo. The only remained bridge without handrails in Venice.
